The obvious and straightforward truth that the Savior from scripture advocates for a type of extreme compassion centered on the poor has perpetually caused Christianity rather a controversial faith: attractive to the masses, but due to its inherent radicalness requiring to be contained. In the 1950s it was contained through watering down – Protestant Christianity was so dominant that it practically blessed current circumstances.
A Conflict for the Finest of Us
