The financier acquired a more modest island - Little St James - back in 1998, but acquired the bigger adjacent island in the year 2016 for a sum of $22.5 million.
These photos indicate he had formulated development schemes to build upon the substantial island by building homes, an amphitheatre, an submerged workspace and a swimming pool.
